Aberdeen and Portsoy, Scotland

Our first stop was in Aberdeen and Portsoy, Scotland (24 – 27 July) and a visit with friends. They started out as family of a friend of ours back in Florida, but they ended up as good friends.
We stayed a few days with them in Portsoy, just northeast of Aberdeen on the North Sea coast. Lovely little town, we had a great time. Donna had her first beer ever, actually a shandy – half beer, half lemonade.
Went to real Highland Games, where there were more men in kilts than in pants! And a nearby small town had a garden festival. Many of the residents opened their private gardens for everyone to come in and enjoy.
